The Compliance Calendar Every Indian Business Needs on Its Wall

GSTR-1 on the 11th, PF on the 15th, GSTR-3B on the 20th — and that’s just the monthly layer. Here’s the full rhythm of Indian compliance, and how to never miss a beat.

The Compliance Calendar Every Indian Business Needs on Its Wall

Every Indian business — from a two-person LLP to a listed company — dances to the same drumbeat of statutory deadlines. Miss a beat and the meter starts: late fees, interest, and in the worst cases, personal liability for directors.

The monthly rhythm

  • 7th — TDS deposited for the previous month
  • 11th — GSTR-1: outward supplies return
  • 13th — GSTR-1 IFF window closes (QRMP scheme)
  • 15th — PF and ESI contributions for the previous month
  • 20th — GSTR-3B: summary return and tax payment

That’s five hard dates before the 21st of every single month. Add professional tax in many states, and TCS compliance if you sell through marketplaces.

The quarterly and annual layers

  • Advance tax — 15 Jun, 15 Sep, 15 Dec, 15 Mar
  • TDS returns — quarterly (24Q, 26Q)
  • AOC-4 — within 30 days of your AGM
  • MGT-7 — within 60 days of your AGM
  • DIR-3 KYC — 30 September, for every director
  • Income-tax return and tax audit — per your category
ROC late fees run at ₹100 per day with no upper cap. It is the most expensive forgetfulness in Indian business.

How to never miss a beat

Three practices separate calm businesses from panicked ones: one calendar with every obligation and a named owner; one week of buffer — internal deadlines a week before statutory ones; and one monthly review where finance walks leadership through what’s filed and what’s next.

Or you hand the whole drumbeat to a team that does this for hundreds of businesses — and get your weekends back. That’s exactly what Bequip’s compliance retainer covers, deadline guarantee included.
